About Us – The Story Behind Shlama Nano Bible Jewelry
Shlama – Wearable Peace from the Holy Land
Shlama is an ancient Aramaic word that means peace, wholeness, harmony – and also a warm hello. Aramaic is the language Jesus spoke, and when he greeted people or spoke about inner peace and peace of mind, he said "Shlama".
This is the spirit behind our jewelry: a daily greeting of peace, born in the Holy Land where these words were first spoken and where each Shlama piece is created. I'm Zohar Ezra, founder of Shlama, and for more than 30 years I've been designing jewelry for people who want to stay connected to their beliefs and values in everyday life.
Story & Legacy
In 2004 I founded Nano Jewelry, a brand specializing in miniature inscriptions in 24k gold on gemstones. Over the years I created spiritual, inspirational, and romantic collections – including one of our most loved pieces, "I love you" inscribed in 120 languages on a single tiny pendant. That passion for combining meaning, technology, and beauty has now naturally led me to Shlama's Nano Bible collection.
Design, Art, Heritage – from the Holy Land
I'm inspired by spirituality, science, and art, and Shlama stands exactly where these three meet. Each piece is designed and crafted in the Holy Land, so the Bible verses you carry are rooted in the same land where so many of these stories unfolded. Our Nano Bible chips hold complete scripture text, yet the jewelry remains minimal, contemporary, and easy to wear every day.
Craftsmanship and Quality You Can Feel
At Shlama we emphasize originality, creativity, quality, and service in every detail. We don't only focus on a beautiful finish; we insist on durability as well, setting each nano chip with metal prongs just as we would set a diamond. Because of this, we're confident enough to offer a 2‑year warranty on our jewelry – a promise that your piece is made to be cherished and worn. Each piece also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The People Behind the Pieces
Shlama is more than one person. In recent years, my partner Yoram Edry has been leading the day-to-day management of our company, our team, and our sales – making sure everything runs smoothly while I focus on design and creation. Around us is a dedicated group of skilled craftswomen and craftsmen, each an expert in their field – from graphic design to stone-setting and polishing, quality control, logistics, and customer service. Together, we put care and intention into every piece and every order that leaves our workshop.
My Hope for You
"Love your neighbor as yourself" – this simple commandment is the very essence of both Judaism and Christianity. It's the heart of the Bible and the message I hope every Shlama wearer carries with them. My wish is that your Shlama piece becomes a quiet companion in your daily life, a gentle reminder to bring that love into your everyday actions.
